Gaetan Jones (Murgia)

Gaetan Jones passed away on Thursday March 24, 2022, in her Orlando home from lung cancer.

Gaetan had a very full life as she and her husband, BJ, lived from New York to California and finally residing in Florida, during their 35 years of marriage.

Her many adventures took her around the world from New Year’s Eve in Barcelona, Spain to New York City with family and friends.

She also held many jobs during her lifetime, but she had a blast working at her favorite theme park with the many people she met along the way.

While her travels were many, she enjoyed the holiday season at home baking cookies and spending time with her loved ones, both family and friends.

Gaetan is survived by her husband, Robert Jones; her son Sam De Marco and his wife, Melanie; her daughter Janelle Selembo and husband, David; her stepdaughters  Kimberly Houston and husband, Robert; and Erika Costantino and  husband, Eric. Her grandchildren Jennifer, Joshua, Taylor, Ashley, Madeline, Norah, Emma, and EJ as well as great grandson Dylan.  Her siblings Joseph (Shirley) Murgia, Edward (Nancy) Murgia and Louis (Julia) Murgia, and many nieces and nephews.

Gaetan is pre-deceased by her parents Russel and Rose Murgia, her siblings Russel (Barbara) Murgia, Rosalyn Cancemi, and Thomas Murgia as well as her daughter Deanne De Marco.

A private service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
