Corey Ziegfeld Schmitt, 68 of Ft. Pierce, FL passed away July 10, 2026. His smile and quick wit will be remembered by everyone who crossed his path.

Born on November 25, 1957 in Flint, MI, Corey graduated from Carman High School in 1975.

He enlisted and served 4 years in the US Navy with a focus on Aviation Electronics. When Corey entered civilian life, he began his career in robotics. He continued with computer sales, corporate and government computer training and systems administration. Corey completed his career as Senior Systems Analyst in South Florida at Homeland Security in 2023.

Beyond his career in the computer world, Coreys hobbies include fishing, music and playing cards. He especially enjoyed old movies.  

Corey is survived by his wife Tania of 37 years, as well as his siblings. He was preceded in death by their daughter Gabriella as well as his parents.

He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
