Silveria Suazo

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Silveria Suazo, Known as Silvia to many. Silvia departed this life on August 12, 2026 at the age of 83. SHe was born on February 5 1943, in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic. She became a widow in 1994 , she had been married to Gregorio Suazo. Miss Suazo was a woman of exceptional grace, creativity, and profound devotion.

Throughout her life, Miss Suazo found deep expression and joy through the arts, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of music, writing, drawing and poetry. Above all, she was defined by her unwavering Christian  faith. As an active and deicated believer, she walked through life with an enduring spiritual strength that served as a guiding light to everyone around her.

An incredible mother and an amzing person, her boundless love, wisdom, and kindness will be forever cherished. She is survived by her 3 children, Elaura, Gregory, and Laura (Conrado), her cherished grandchildren Kristos and Elijah (Joanne) and her beloved great grandson Ian, as well as 3 sisters, 2 brother in laws, and countless very special nieces and nephews who also adored her, some even called her “mom”. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 3 brothers.

Her circle of love stretched widely and also included cherished friends who were family by choice. She was small in stature but powerful in spirit, she was full of laughter, kindness and fearless joy. We will miss her jokes, hospitality and her loving and caring nature. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to a community food program, or simply an act of kindness in Silveria’s name.

We will be a brief viewing at Compass Pointe Funeral Services on Tuesday August 18, 2026.
