Sandra Lynn Cameron

Sandra Lynn Cameron, age 91, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on May 30, 2026

Born on March 5, 1935, in South Amherst, Ohio, Sandy lived a life defined by love, generosity, determination, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a true go-getter who wasn’t afraid to take charge when something needed to be done. Strong, capable, and independent, Sandy approached life with confidence and energy, inspiring those around her through both her actions and her example. Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome, where family and friends gathered to create memories, share meals, and enjoy her company. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel loved and accepted.

Sandy was generous to a fault, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She loved deeply and unconditionally, and her kindness touched the lives of countless people throughout her 91 years. Whether spending time with family, caring for friends, or supporting those who needed encouragement, she gave herself freely and wholeheartedly.

She especially enjoyed trips to the casino with her mother and cousins, turning every outing into an adventure filled with laughter and stories that would be retold for years to come. In her younger years, she loved to travel and explore new places. She also took great pride in decorating her homes in both Ohio and Florida, creating beautiful spaces that reflected her vibrant personality and love of hospitality.

One of Sandy’s most endearing qualities was her ability to find a song for every occasion. Music, laughter, and storytelling were woven into the fabric of her life. She laughed hard, loved deeply, and lived fully. Her family will forever cherish the lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the joy she brought into their lives.

Above all else, Sandy was devoted to her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Her legacy of love, generosity, strength, humor, and determination will live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

She left behind her devoted daughter, Chari Horvath, her beloved son Reginald Cameron II (Kathleen Kindel), her beloved grandchildren, Carrie Conrad (Troy) and Christopher Horvath. Her great-grandchildren, Melon, Max, Maya, Mitchell and Ruby. Her sister, Judy Smith (Wayne) and niece Lauri Smith-Tischendorf, her brother Tim Ruth (Dennis), Sandee Ruth and niece Elizabeth Diedrick (Jason) and many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Reginald Cameron I, her son Scott Cameron, her parents Calvin Ruth & Myrtle Ruth (Hunt), her niece Kristie Foster, her nephew Matthew Ruth and great-nephew Christopher Fitch.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Sandy’s memory please send cards or memorial contributions to the family: Chari Horvath at 10108 Blazed Tree Ct. Orlando, FL 32821. The family is grateful for your love, prayers, and support during this time of remembrance.
