James (Jim) DeCarmine of Estero, FL passed away on Monday August 15, 2022, at the age of 72.
Jim died peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife, Bobbie, their children, Jimmy and Kristin, and his sister-in-law and her family, Anna, Jon and Brian.
Jim was born on May 11, 1950 to James and Anne DeCarmine in Valley Stream, New York. In 1976 he married his wife, Bobbie Huffman, in Riverdale, MD. He devoted his time to being a husband and father, and to being a grandfather to his granddaughters, Sophie and Harper. Jim will be remembered with love by his family, especially his sisters, Dianne (Steve), and Carol (late Gabe), his son-in-law, Hank, and the entire Huffman family.
Jim attended Pace University in New York City, earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. After moving to Maryland, he met his wife, raised his family, and worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 35 years. The Sunshine State became his home in retirement where he and Bobbie enjoyed many happy years with friends and family.
All are invited to share in a celebration of Jim’s life on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at the clubhouse at The Preserves in Estero, FL (address below). As was his wish, Jim’s ashes will be dedicated privately to the sea by his immediate family shortly after this event.
