Xavier “Patrick” Maurer, Deland, Florida.

It is with deep sadness that we announce our beloved Son, Grandson, Brother, Family Member and Friend, Xavier Patrick Maurer, 26, passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 18th 2019, after a long battle with mental illness.

Patrick was born March 17th 1993, in Hampton, VA. and grew up in Deltona, Florida. Patrick was a U.S. Army Veteran and had graduated from Pine Ridge High School in Deltona, Florida.

Patrick had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was also an avid gamer. He was a very hard worker, always striving to be the best at what he did. It is tragic that he did not see the potential we all saw in him. We all loved him deeply and dearly.

Patrick is survived by his parents Patricia and Jose Rivera; Grandmother Helen Correia; and 3 Brothers, Aaron Maurer, Jesus Rivera and Zachary Rivera; and sister Bianca Rivera; a niece Reagan Maurer and a nephew Lucas Rivera, loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Patrick is predeceased by his Grandfather William Correia, who we are sure is embracing him now.

Family will be having a private celebration of life.

Contributions in memory of Xavier Patrick Maurer can be made to, The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention (AFSP)
