Michael K. Nary, age 59, of Kissimmee, FL; formerly a longtime resident of Tewksbury, MA died suddenly on November 21, 2023.
Born on September 28, 1964 in Lowell, MA, Michael was the beloved son of the late Ann (DesRoches) Nary; cherished grandson of the late Roland & Mary DesRoches; brother to the late Edward A. Nary, Jr.; and son of the late Edward A. Nary, Sr.
Michael is survived by his brothers and sister Kevin L. Nary and his wife, Dee of Venice, FL; Lee D. Nary of Beckley, W. VA Karen L. DesRoches of Wolfeboro, NH; Soulmate Barbara C., of Kissimmee, FL and his beloved cat Bunkie-monkey. Also left behind by are many relatives, friends, and acquaintances he has met during his free-spirit life.
Michael grew up in Tewksbury and was a graduate of Tewksbury High School Class of 1982. Michael was a smart man; there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do when he put his mind to it.
During his life he enjoyed construction projects as a jack-of-trades. He was a talented
cement mason, drywaller, tile setter and carpenter. He had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone in need. When you met him, you would never forget him. His green eyes were the windows to his soul.
He had many interests and one of his favorites was spending time at the family Camp on Goose Pond, Shapleigh, ME every summer where he learned how to water ski while out on his brother Kevin’s boat on Mousam Lake.
In his spare time, Michael enjoyed traveling to numerous destinations with his soulmate, Barbara and made frequent trips to “The Inn at Buzzards Bay” in Bourne, MA as they loved the beautiful area, and enjoyed seafood at their favorite restaurants down at Cape Cod. Michael also enjoyed attending antique car shows and motorcycle rallies. He was a fan of all New England sports. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed competing in horseshoes, chess, darts, card games, cribbage, pool and ping-pong. He liked telling jokes and making people laugh. He enjoyed cooking and baking his favorite recipes. Michael had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and cats.
Michael will be remembered as a generous and loving person that cared deeply for his family and friends. He will be missed by all of those who knew him and loved him.
Burial will be private.
