Roy Powell, 71, of Orlando, FL, peacefully passed away on February 10, 2022.  Roy was born and raised in

Akron, Ohio, graduated from The University of Akron, and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.  His career was in sales where he worked for The Dial Corporation, Milestone Agriculture, and Casa Flora.  Roy was an avid golfer and long-time member of Orange Tree Golf Club.

Roy is survived by his wife, Dona, of 47 years; sister Bonnie Hawk, nephew Todd Ekmark, Kent, Ohio; 

John and Susan Goldsberry, Bonita Springs, FL; niece Megan Skogstad; and nephew Matthew Goldsberry. 

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 4, 10 a.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 4851 South

Apopka-Vineland Rd., Orlando, 32819.  In memory of Roy, you may make a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, or an organization or charity of your choice.
